Undergraduate researchers
SNL will host several highly motivated undergraduate UCI researchers to join exciting research projects in optics and photonics, electrical engineering, nanofabrication, and biophotonics. Interested candidates should inquire with Maxim directly at maxim.shcherbakov@uci.edu.
Ph.D. positions
SNL will offer one fully funded Ph.D. position beginning in Fall 2024. The successful candidate will have obtained an M.S. in physics, electrical engineering, materials science, or adjacent areas, have outstanding credentials, and be keen to innovate in optics, quantum information, laser physics, biotechnology, and/or nanotechnology. Postdoctoral positions
Support is available for outstanding postdocs on a rolling basis. The initial contract is offered for one year, with evaluation after 9 months for a possible extension. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in physics, electrical engineering, or materials science. The candidate’s responsibilities include conducting research in line with SNL’s research interests, publishing research papers, and supervising graduate and undergraduate students.
